The “Home Efficiency & Technology” special contest is a design award, promoted by the architectural magazine The Plan in partnership with Mitsubishi Electric.
The contest encompassed projects that combine technology and architecture to provide energy efficient, environmentally sustainable solutions, with particular emphasis on the use of renewable energy heating and cooling systems.

The restoration project of the Ross House was mentioned in the competition.
